Elevation Certificate for Insurance or Construction
An elevation certificate is a form that is filled out after certain elevations have been measured on an existing structure on a property. The certificate is used by property owners to reduce or eliminate the cost of flood insurance. The maps used in making the determinations are FEMA Flood Insurance Maps published for each community.
Elevation certificates are needed to ensure a structure has been built at or above the base flood elevation designated for that particular parcel of property. Elevation certificates are used to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program, and are required to obtain flood insurance.
Flood insurance is mandatory for all structures in the Special Flood Hazard Area, and strongly recommended for all other structures.
Elevation Certificates are prepared and certified by one of our Licensed Land Surveyors. Fill out the form below to contact us today!
